The March 1, 2022 meeting will feature Carly Patterson, DVM, DACVIM (SAIM) & Amy Savarino, PharmD, from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. They will present on "Veterinary Opioids: Texas Board Rules and Federal Laws Concerning Controlled Substances." This meeting is sponsored by Elanco Animal Health.

Bio: Dr. Carly Patterson is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine-Small Animal Internal Medicine. She is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Veterinary Physiology and Pharmacology Department at Texas A&M University. Dr. Patterson teaches across all four years of the professional veterinary curriculum with special emphasis on veterinary physiology and pharmacology. She is the only board-certified small animal internist providing clinical teaching and service to the small animal teaching hospital with a faculty appointment in a basic science department.
Bio: Amy Savarino, Pharm D. is a Diplomate of the International College of Veterinary Pharmacy and a fellow and the treasurer of the Society of Veterinary Hospital Pharmacists. She has worked in the Texas A&M University Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital for 13 years and has been the chief pharmacist since 2018. She serves as director the for the TAMU Veterinary Pharmacy Residency Program.
